Hey there Youths ! Greetings in the name of Jesus & welcome back to the KBC Youth blog =D Sorry I haven't been writing in any entries for some time, mainly cause I had exams & studying to think about, but I still have
quiet time with God every night & that's good enough =) Anyway, let's move on to a
few things I like to touch on.
Oh la la, it's finally the
28th of March, Earth Hour is here =D Time to show we are strong & united together as we
fight global warming altogether, not alone but as a nation. Yes my friends, 1 person can make that big difference. So,
switch off the electricity in your homes tonight for just an HOUR @ 8.30pm, make a point to be different as Kalvin has shared with us. Prove that we, as children of God,the new generation are
willing take up our responsibility in protecting this earth & all the inhabitants living in it.
Show some love for this earth that God has so graciously made it as our home & learn to further
expand our circle of caring & compassion. With that, I pray to the Almighty Lord that tonight, Earth Hour will be a major success =D
One Hour for One Earth!
On a side note, my school's C.F.(Christian Fellowship) shared with me a
very important aspect of Christianity with me yesterday. Do you guys ever get the feeling that sometimes, we just can't accept the way things are without reason? Do ever feel that life is full of unanswered questions & you never seem to get the answers? What does living a life mean? Questions lead to answers, answers lead to testifying, testifying leads to reasoning. Why is it that sometimes,
we ponder about certain things so deeply? This has led to questioning the existence of God, how true the Bible is, & why bother living a life according to commandments God gave us. We are just thinking too deeply of God when we should just have a
child-like faith. As these points were related to a book that the teacher was sharing titled, '
Apa Gunanya?'[it's a bahasa melayu Christian book], this book
answered many of those questions brought up, so that we can understand Christ more & it's great book. To summarize all of that, we as Christians study the Bible not because we want to know facts or memorize the events that have happened, but
to have a more intimate relationship with God. To be a Christian is to
believe in salvation through Jesus &
accepting Him as our Lord & Saviour. A Christian life is never easy to live, but it's worth it with God on our side !
Amen? =D
