Hi guys ! Had a great Earth Hour? Well, John & I are proud to report that Earth Hour has been a great success in our neighbourhood, Bandar Menjalara =) We just took a walk round our neighbourhood, scouting out houses participating[not actually entering] in Earth Hour, & I'm thankful that the response was satisfying this year =D Here are some pictures to share with you guys. & lastly, I'm thankful to God for helping make this Earth Hour successful & thankful that I & John could make our contribution for our Earth ! Thank You God =D

3:35 PM
Hey there Youths ! Greetings in the name of Jesus & welcome back to the KBC Youth blog =D Sorry I haven't been writing in any entries for some time, mainly cause I had exams & studying to think about, but I still have
quiet time with God every night & that's good enough =) Anyway, let's move on to a
few things I like to touch on.
Oh la la, it's finally the
28th of March, Earth Hour is here =D Time to show we are strong & united together as we
fight global warming altogether, not alone but as a nation. Yes my friends, 1 person can make that big difference. So,
switch off the electricity in your homes tonight for just an HOUR @ 8.30pm, make a point to be different as Kalvin has shared with us. Prove that we, as children of God,the new generation are
willing take up our responsibility in protecting this earth & all the inhabitants living in it.
Show some love for this earth that God has so graciously made it as our home & learn to further
expand our circle of caring & compassion. With that, I pray to the Almighty Lord that tonight, Earth Hour will be a major success =D
One Hour for One Earth!
On a side note, my school's C.F.(Christian Fellowship) shared with me a
very important aspect of Christianity with me yesterday. Do you guys ever get the feeling that sometimes, we just can't accept the way things are without reason? Do ever feel that life is full of unanswered questions & you never seem to get the answers? What does living a life mean? Questions lead to answers, answers lead to testifying, testifying leads to reasoning. Why is it that sometimes,
we ponder about certain things so deeply? This has led to questioning the existence of God, how true the Bible is, & why bother living a life according to commandments God gave us. We are just thinking too deeply of God when we should just have a
child-like faith. As these points were related to a book that the teacher was sharing titled, '
Apa Gunanya?'[it's a bahasa melayu Christian book], this book
answered many of those questions brought up, so that we can understand Christ more & it's great book. To summarize all of that, we as Christians study the Bible not because we want to know facts or memorize the events that have happened, but
to have a more intimate relationship with God. To be a Christian is to
believe in salvation through Jesus &
accepting Him as our Lord & Saviour. A Christian life is never easy to live, but it's worth it with God on our side !
Amen? =D

Hey there, fellow youths ! Greetings and bless you guys for those of you who have taken up some of your precious time to read & take notice of our Youth's blog updates =D Anyway, you may have noticed but they are less and less updates as the weeks goes by, that's because I'm lacking of ideas on what to write =( So, if any of you guys out there has some great ideas on how to perk up our blog, you are most welcomed haha.
& now back to business =) But before that, I'd like to make a
shoutout & my
congratulations to
Darren on his acceptance of securing a place as an international student![in short,
he just got his diploma & now has the chance to further his studies overseas] According to him, he'll be
heading to Melbourne,Australia to further his
Mass Comm studies
soon =( But let's
be happy for him &
pray that he will have a safe journey, shall remain faithful to the Lord, that he will be successful in his studies & will have tons of fun there =D
God bless you Darren, from all of us @ KBC Youth =D

So, guys, enjoyed Pauline's sharing today? As you all know, today's topic was '
How Can I Make The Most Out of My Life' and though this is a regular topic most people talk about,
one particular element is always missed out,
that is God =D Sure, the life we want to live depends on the decisions & choices we make, but when we
trust God and put our
faith in Him in the decisions we make, God will put us on the right path & it will all go according to
His perfect plan for us ! Praise God =) & the surest way of making the most out of the only life we have on earth, is to be
SPECIAL =) Dare to be different, dare to live ! Leave something behind that you want people to remember you for when you have departed from this world[your warm smile,a talent in speaking, your love for others, etc] Like the
mayfly that only lives for a day, life is short.
Make this life you have on earth meaningful to others, yourself and to God ! Amen?
***Special thanks to Aaron for closing in prayer today after Youth sharing, hope you guys are inspired to =) ***

Hi guys, & once again,
welcome to our KBC Youth blog =D It's a
pleasure to be serving the Lord once again, & I hope that though I can't serve him in
creating a website for our church, at least I can
start small ! As the saying goes,
"All good things humble beginnings" =)So, let's get back to the
main event before I stray of from our topic. Haha, I'm glad to announce that
2 of our fellow youths are back after being far far away from us for so long =D Let's
welcome back brother Issac Hong & sister Esther Chee back into the House of The Lord, & may I say what
fashionable hairstyle they are sporting now haha.
Brother Issac has just finished his stint in the
Nasional Service[a picture of health =)] & now has plans to
furthur his studies in Accounts =) Meanwhile,
Sister Esther has just returned from her
Training Course all the way from Johor & is now an
official church worker in KBC ! First of all, I want to
give thanks to God for their safe return & pray that they may
continue to serve the Kingdom of God & all His glory =)
& stick around, cause there's
more eye-candy in store =D
SPM results are finally out, let's give a round of applause to our SPM-leavers,
Brother Issac, Brother Reuben, & Sister Esther Chee ! Although their
success cannot be counted in number of A's they scored , I'm grateful that they have
passed a big milestone in their lives & are
continuing to grow in spirit, wisdom & maturity. I pray for you guys that
God will always be by your side when you need Him as you venture into a new world & journey =)
Work hard for your success in life,
pray & serve Him with your heart &
live life they way God wants you to live =D & I hope this will
motivate our SPM takers this year,
Evonne,John, Moses, Aaron, Joel & Levi to do their best & to study hard[sorry if I left out anybody =(].
Amen? =D& finally our main course for today,[serious music playing...] is our
Kite Flying activity today haha! Woo! Firstly, I'm so
thankful to God that today was a perfect day to fly our kites & nothing bad went wrong =D I guess all that
hardwork praying really payed off, YAY! Oh boy, let me tell you guys, flying a kite in Selayang Metropolitan Park isn't easy with high speed winds & plenty of strings to get tangled with. But, the
fun of just being like a child again really is worth it =D Other activities played today included
frisbee toss, jogging & even an ice-cube war[started by Kalvin haha] using ice-cube we bought to keep our 100plus drinks cool =D Anyway,
pictures are worth a thousand words, so here's a few =) Enjoy !

4:20 PM
Hello again, fellow youths. Just to be clear, I'm not spam posting on the same day, I'm just writing in on other things since I feel that I
haven't written enough to satisfy
my cravings to serve our
Father in Heaven & to keep this blog cheerful & up-to-date =) [As I have mentioned, I was sick the whole week] As Jesus has commanded,
Man does not live on bread alone. So,
eat your fill for it is The Lord's will =D
Well, it seems that I'm not the only person feeling sick now[I found out this morning].
Today was Sports Day for my school, & even though it was
seriously raining cats & dogs, our
poor brother John & even sister Eunice Chee had to march in this shower. & to make matters worse,
John will have to attend prefect camp tomorrow, somewhere faraway in
Pahang =( I can see he is
no shape to go to camp; looking so tired organizing & preparing hard for our Sports Day marching, studying & the like. So, I'm
dedicating this post to John & my fellow brothers & sisters. I pray to the merciful Lord that He will protect John on his journey there, guide him through hardship , take good care of his health, will provide time for him to study for his exams & most of all, making time for quiet time with The Lord. & I pray that we as Youths, will learn to pray for others & not only ourselves. I hope that through this message I have conveyed,
all of us will pray often for our brothers & sisters in Christ having troubles, suffering, in far away places & the likes.

& once again, I have a few interesting
Christian comic strips for you guys again this week =D Enjoy !

Hello fellow Youths, & greetings in the
name of our Lord Jesus =D Sorry for the late post, I have been sick the whole week, but thank the Lord I'm well now =D
Woo! What a great night we had @ our
KBC Youth Inter-church Event ! I'm sure all of you guys involved in the preparations slept well right? Haha , anyway, I give
thanks to merciful Lord for He has helped made our event so successful & joyous =) Oh Hallelujah! Sorry guys,
no pictures yet, but I'll get them from Kalvin soon =)
First of all, my
thanks to all the Youth leaders , crew members & everybody for making this event successful, interesting, active, funny, meaningful & eye-opening =D & what can I say? With
50+ Youths from churches all around Kepong coming to KBC,
IT WAS GREAT FUN =DNow, I haven't got any
feedback from anybody to post in the blog yet, but I guess I can start with my comments on our activities for the night. Firstly, I gotta
give it to Cherish & all the others who lead the Praise & Worship Session =) Kudos & Bravo ! What great planning ,song choice & spirit ! I especially loved it when you guys split the Praise part of P&W to start before the
Drama & put in the Worship part after the
Drama ended =) I felt my heart lighter like never before & that I was
closer to God &
could feel His Spirit within me..oh Praise the Lord! & I have to say, my favourite part, next to Worship session of course, was the Drama =D Haha, I liked
Eunice's(Gary's Mum) &
Jonathan Tan's(Gary) acting the most =) Although Eunice's screaming in pain was funny, but when it came to the part where Jonathan regretted cursing the poor
beggar(Yee Cheng) & prayed to God for his foolishness, that part was the most touching & eye-opening for me. & then came the
perfect time for Worship =)Next, I have to express on how
impressed I am on how well the games & icebreaker went that night haha. Though simple, I wasn't anticipating such an
overwhelming response from everybody =) I'm glad that everybody had the
courage to talk & get to know each other during the icebreaker. & finally, my comments for the
groups' sharing through sketch.
WOW, who knew we all had such
creative minds to show how we can
share the Gospel with other people? =) Just goes to show, we can
share the Word of the Lord through many ways; Through the change we experience from God, through difficulties we experience, in daily situations & almost anywhere at any time ! So, now that my long 'lecture' is done, can I get an
AMEN from all of you guys? =D

Next would be a reminder for tonight's
Friday Prayer Meeting, although I do not have the time to come, I hope you guys will come for it =)
Pray for this nation, for this country, for our brothers & sisters in Christ & for His wave of mercy to sweep this nation !
Amen? =D& guess what?
KBC Youths Inter-Church event is THIS SUNDAY xD Haha, I'm so anxious to see what the sketch team is doing this year, but i'm sure it's great =) So, to all the other teams,
Multimedia, Food, Ushers, Games & Leaders, let's make this an event to remember, & better yet, for everybody to see God & all his righteousness ! Hallelujah. & also
sister Esther Chee will be coming back on the same day from her Training Course[if I'm not wrong] So, let's all welcome her back with open arms & joyful hearts =D
& today, I had another meaningful sharing session @ my school's Christian Fellowship [CF] titled '
The Art Of Listening & Speaking'. So, I wanna share with you guys a little of what I learned from this sharing. Have any of you thought of this,
do you really think about what you say before you speak? Has it occurred to you that when you speak,
do you honor God in anyway, or are you cursing & hurting him instead? Taking from
James 3 : 1-12, we can see that
1. We sometimes stumble & make mistakes when we speak
2. Our tongue is like a ship's rudder, steering & guiding us to our future
3. Our tongue can also be a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body
4. Not even you can control your own tongue
5. Our mouth can't shout praises & curses @ the same time
So, our teacher's advice would be of course,
pray to the Merciful Lord, to help you control your own self from speaking of words that can hurt, but instead speak words of delight & praise.
Don't listen to rumors &
false remarks from 'friends'. Don't talk too much & if you do, don't speak of
foolish talk, but rather
thanksgiving. So, I pray through this sharing, the Lord will make me wiser in speech & all the others who have taken their time to think & understand the Lord's message today.
Praise God =)

Countdown To Inter-Church Event : 6 days leftHi guys once again!
Andrew here. I'm writing today,as I have some reminders & something that I would like to share with you guys today. Blessed be His name, cause even though I'm super-stressed @ school today, I still have the time & will to serve him!
Thanks, God =DFirst off, a friendly reminder from
Ezra . To all who are involved in
Multimedia Training tonight for the
Easieslide & Sony Forge[if I'm not wrong], please present yourself @ church by 8pm. May you all be Blessed as you learn to serve the Lord better =)
Next,
Aaron & I are requesting for more Youths to participate in our
Youth prayer group every Sunday @ 1.30-2.00p.m. If you have something or someone to pray for, you are invited to join us @ the prayer meeting room on the 2nd floor. We are currently praying for God's guidance & protection for
Youth leaders[really stressed] =( & also for
Marvin, Jiemi & Pauline[Overseas]
Finally, my
personal sharing =D It just so happen while I was reading on the book of
Genesis yesterday, I was reading about
God's covenant with Noah . The word
rainbow caught my attention instantly & then I started to remember what rainbows meant if I was in Noah's place. So , what's the relation? Well, It was
God's promise/covenant with Noah that He would never again destroy the Earth in a flood . Even something so
beautiful even had meaning in it's creation ! Oh Hallelujah to the Lord! & guess what? Since it's the raining season, you'll probably get plenty of chances to see rainbows in the sky =D So, forget your worries once in awhile & take time to admire the
work of God's hands. Remember too, that this is
the evidence/sign of a covenant He made with Noah many years ago! Now, don't you feel blessed & joyful?
Amen? =D
